This creation is shaped as a « mouchoir » (handkerchief), a typical shape from Paris 1900s hand-fan makers. The décor is a contemporary interpretation of the creations of the 19th century made with gold paint on silk.
Know How
For this model, the fan maker creates a unique painting on the primed silk sheet. He then folds it into pleats and attaches it stick by stick to the ebony frame.
